Help

My friend has an 89 camaro with a 305 and we were driving the other day and the car just cut out. We could get the ca to start with a jump but when u try and drive after the jump u can go for about 30 sec and the car cuts out again. So then we jumped the car again and we did the alternator test and the car cut out when we removed the positive batt cable. So the next day we replaced the alternator and the car was doing the same thng and i checked the batt and it was low so we charged the batt and the nxt day the car started right up and we could drive it. We then did the alternator test again and the car stayed on. But then today we took the car for a drive and and after about 15-20 mins of driving the car just cut out again. We test the batt and it read 11.98 and the car cranks but does not want to turn over. We dont know what else to do. Could it be the ignition control module? Anyone have any ideas? Thanx in advance for any help

Re: Help

i dont know for sure, but i would always check for a bad ground on something. that may not seem like the best since you said that it is cranking, but on my old 87 4bbl 305, it did something similar after it ran for a minute and it was a bad ground vibrating off that would go work again after it sat. mine was kinda a weird one though.
