rocker arm compatibility

so i bought an 89 305 iroc motor from someone to find that it came with no rocker arms. it is a basically stock motor, i am not spending 200 on new rocker arms. before i go up to the junkyard, i am wondering if i can pull the rocker arms off of an LT1, 350, etc... the studs are 3/8". any ideas? if i can pull them off a couple different cars it gives me more options than searching down the one camaro in the yard and finding the rocker arms on it are nasty. thanks.

Re: rocker arm compatibility

I'd be surprised if a full set of new OEM rockers cost more than $50.

Re: rocker arm compatibility

I don't remember when the change-over year was... should be easy to figure out by looking at the heads though.

Re: rocker arm compatibility

No, factory self-aligning heads don't use guideplates, they just have narrower pushrod holes.
