EGR Solenoid prob SOLVED!!!!
After much BS in dealing with the EGR vaccuum solenoid problem I was almost ready to give up. I used one of my part contacts and took him the old solenoid. After 2 days of searching his resources he found me a solution. It does not have the right bracket, but as long as it worked, I could care less. See pics below, then description below the pics.
This option is waaaaay better than chopping up your factory harness to splice a new end on it for another that doesnt even work right. The only thing I had to do was notch the 2 plastic tubes on my factory plug (when you look at your plug, you'll know what I am talking about) because the slots on this new solenoid were in different spots. It also doesnt have the little foam piece that ours had, so I put an extra piece of vaccuum tubing on it (i did not plug the other end of the vaccuum tubing) Got it plugged up, and road tested it for an hour, high rpm, low rpm, steady rpm, no service engine light!!!!!! I am super happy. Unfortunately, I dont have a part number for this solenoid, because the warehouse he got it from does bulk purchase, and this part was in a bin with 7 others, not in boxes with just a bin number. If anybody wants one I can post an ad in the classifieds.
