Trying to decide which would be a better foundation for a high performance motor, initially modified TPI but may see a miniram. Should see 400-450 horsepower(crank), possibly with nitrous. The two i have been looking at are below. Second one comes in a 383 version for another $100.
if your gonna buy a pre assembled short block...id go with the 2nd one...just because of the upgrade in quality of parts used to build it...go for forged pistons if ya can that way if you should decide to spray it later on ya dont have to worry about it to much...

Either one is fine......but i agree with the above post, especially if ur gona put juice on it. Whitepreformance is a good company, delt with them quite a bit and havnt been burned yet.
I'm also undecided whether to go with the 383 version or not. I'm not sure if the TPI, even modified will be able to feed it and might be a better match to the 350.
yeah you can put a tpi on just about and sbc....its acts like a big cork....compared to some of the other options...shoot man do the 350 and put a mild cam and a stealth ram on it....you'll be very happy!

I was leaning toward the one from CNC motorsports. I was planning on getting some Trickflow heads, though if i get the other shortblock i can spring for some AFR 180 heads. Would that be worth it?
save a little bit longer and go with afr over the darts...and honestly go with 195's...you'd love how hard they pull.....oh yeah get ready to start breakin drivetrain parts..lol

or even the 210cc on a 383.....180cc is too small for a stroker.....also agree with the HSR.....love mine...I've got 200cc runners and a ported HSR, she'll pull up hard past 6500rpm no problem,....have fun....
