Hooking up buffer box
I finally got my motor running and now I'm trying to get this speedo working. 92 Trans am w/electric speedo, no ecm. I'm using an after market ecm. I bought a vss buffer box, and hooked it up as follows
Purple and yellow hooked up to the tranny
Pink w/black stripe to switched 12v
Green w/black stripe to red wire (cavity P) connecto C207
Black w/white stripe to ground
Do any other wires from the original harness need to be hooked up?
Like the park/neutral safety switch, or any other type of grounds from the c207 connector?
I appreciate any help. Thanks

Re: Hooking up buffer box
You only need the buffer box for 90-92 TPI/V6 cars. Be sure you connect it to C207 pin D (gry)
Rest of the wiring should be good to go for a carb swap on this side of the engine. As long as you keep some form of auto shifter in there with a factory style connection P/neutral, reverse lights etc should be fine

Re: Hooking up buffer box
I got it working. I had a bad ground and just need to switch the green/black wire from the pin p to pin d. Thanks for the help.
