I did it ! Bought a LT-1 !
Finally, I found a good solution for my 1983 : a COMPLETE powertrain from a 1995 or 1996 T/A...
It's an export version, so I still have to check the milestone.
The LT-1 needs to be serviced, and I plan to prepare it a bit : no cats, no Lambda sensor.
I expect a new optispark unit, a throttle body, and maybe a cam/lifters/chain unit.
The purpose will be street/backroads/autocross. Like, say, a Porsche-eater.
Would you advice me any parts for this babe ?

If talking just maintenance on the motor, replacing the cam and lifters is not necessary unless there is a problem with them. Timing chain and gears is a good idea. Throttle body does not need to be replaced, just cleaning it should be fine. Clean the MAF sensor too.
If you get a new optispark unit, get it from GM. It costs more, but its a much better part. I've never had a problem with the one I got from GM for my LT1 ('97 Z28)
