Error code 32, 23 TBI 305

I've got an L03 and a while ago the mat sensor in the air cleaner got unplugged and I didn't notice it until I got the check engine light. It hadn't been running that bad but i when i checked the codes i got 32 and 23.
EGR system failure or barometric pressure sensor or vacuum regulator and MAT low,
found out what had happened and I plugged it back in and the check engine light turned off, about a week down the road it came back on during a drive and after i shut if off the light hasn't come back on since but its running badly and chugging a little and sputtering at cruise, almost like a clogged fuel filter but only at cruise. At WOT its fine and under any substantial load its fine. My main question is I have a TBI and as far as i was made aware TBI didn't have an EGR fault sensor or an electronic vacuum fault sensor.
Any thoughts? It also tries to idle around 1500-2000 after being driven.

Re: Error code 32, 23 TBI 305

I'd clear the codes by removing battery cable for 2 minutes and reconnecting. Then I'd drive it again, running in town and on highway, making sure to get up to operating temp, then I'd check codes again and go from there.

There isn't anything about the MAT sensor that should make the car run terribly bad, so I'm guessing your new issue lies elsewhere, and clearing codes would help to maybe track that new issue down.

Okay i'll give that a shot, So just take the battery cable off for a few minutes and that should clear the codes?
Also where would I get a new MAT sensor cuz everywhere i call says they don't have it or its called something else, Its a little sensor in the air cleaner box if you know what i'm talking about, it plugs in underneath the air filter housing

Autozone - they call it an "Air Charge Sensor" - goto autozone.com and type in the search box part # SU1195 - see if that's what you're looking for.

Yes, codes clear after a battery cable disconnect for a minute or two. Your ECM will "forget" everything it's 'learned' and thus start over. The ECM actually saves data on operating conditions and adjusts accordingly to a small degree - clearing out this 'memory' by disconnecting battery cable allows it to start fresh and 'relearn' new data to base operating 'decisions' on all over again. It's not always necessary, but sometimes it helps to try, and certainly doesn't hurt anything.

Re: Error code 32, 23 TBI 305

I unplugged the battery for a few minutes like you said and when I did i saw a vacuum line that wasn't plugged into anything, so i started tracing some wires that I found to try to find the source of the line or where it went and it snapped, then the vacuum line to the MAPS sensor snapped. So I think my chugging problem was the first unplugged vacuum line and now it runs just absolutely horribly because the maps line is broken. Anybody know what the other line might be? it was near the throttle body kind of underneath and to the left of the throttle body.
