Fuel pump and A.I.R. pump question

Do the vortec v8 motors have the bolt holes for the A.I.R. pump brackets?

And I'm installing an electric pump for a carburetor.

Would something like this be all I need since it says it fits carb'd cars: http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/fu...elpumpkit.aspx

Am I gonna need a strainer or a regulator for that?

Do I just mount the pump close to where the mechanical one was?

I see a 2wire connector there too. Does one side go to an ignition wire and one side get grounded? How did you guys wire these up?

I also got 2 metal fuel lines on the passenger side. Is that pump gonna have a fitting for the lines? It looks like it only has one. My mechanical one had 2 fittings for the passenger side lines plus the big metal line going to the carburetor.

That one is intended to be mounted inside the tank as a replacement for the stock in tank pump

You need a external type pump to replace the mech one on the engine
( unless you want to drop the tank )

like these

Needs to be mounted as close to tank as possible.
Are " pusher" type pumps where mech pump is a "puller" type

You will have to run a new wire to rear of car for pump ,
cut the fuel line from tank and connect the pump then connect the two lines at the old pump together.
Some run a new braided s/s line all the way from pump to carb
