1989 GTA 5.7 long crank when starting
Looking for help from other 1989 5.7 GTA owners. I've been trying to figure out why my car takes longer to start than it should. It primes fuel for a couple seconds when key is turned on. Then it needs to crank over for 6-8 seconds when other cars take only a couple seconds turning over before starting. I'm wondering if this is normal design for the 1989 L98 5.7 engine.
Does anyone have one of these or has had this problem?
I've replaced the fuel pump relay and coolant temp sensor. The car runs great after starting. Just can't figure out this long crank issue.
