Correct thermo vacuum switch (TVS)

Hi all,
Any help appreciated! I am replacing my TVS switch which was broken off by the previous owner. I finally removed it, but the recommended replacement by Auto Zone, and other website does not match. See attached picture. On the left, it's the one I bought, and the right the one I removed.

I have a 1986 IROC 305 4bbl, vin H.

I know the TVS is not essential for car emissions, but I am just trying to get as original as possible. Any suggestion in what might had happened? Anybody with the same trouble? engine swap?

Thanks again!

Re: Correct thermo vacuum switch (TVS)

The thread size is larger on the one I bought, so it does not fit in the hole of the engine.
