Basicaly what i'm looking at buying is a set of Vortec heads, 1 5/8 " headers, and a TFS-31402000 cam.. (this is going to be a torque motor... should end up with a straight line of torque from 1900 to a little over 4100 rpm)

I haven't been keeping up on the boards lately so I have a couple questions..

Do they have vortec heads drilled for the stock TPI manifold? Or do i need to get a manifold made for the vortec heads..

What have you all found to be the easiest headers to install? like which ones will bolt right in without much hassle..

Hmm.. the engine i'm probably going to put all this on is a 305 TPI in a 91 Z28 with close to 140k miles on it.. it still runs strong and seems to be in prety good shape for the miles on it.. Anybody think this would be a bad idea? I'm kinda trying to stick to a low budget on this..

I could possibly get a new 350 short block but that would set me back a couple months which would suck..

anyways.. will the stock ecm be able to cope with these mods on the 305? or even a 350 with them?
