Re: Fbobys Vs. Mustangs

Well i think that both of the cars are made good. I think that their 302's beats most of our 305s and v6s. Then our 350s will beat 302s stock for stock. Thats just talking about their fox bodys. My faviorite car of all time is the 69 boss 429! I think that our camaros look better than most of the mustangs made(71-now besides the cobras and shelbys or roush). What i have seen around me when i go to the drag strip is alot of Fbody mustangs and to to many third gens kinda a shame lol.

Re: Fbobys Vs. Mustangs

Just watch, this thread is ganna get out of control with people arguing about this topic.

depending on the year i think the Fbody has it, but they stop production in 02, where as the mustang carried on. i personally like the newer style mustangs, and they put down a fair bit of power. i also like the 70-72 style boss, and mach 1. but you take a 02 ls1 vs a 02 gt and the ls1 has it in power, style, and performance.

I try not to bash on mustangs to bad, but its the guys with the 90 style mustangs that think cause it has a pony on the front its faster than anything you got.

The Boss 351 was under powered compared to a Boss 302 and is less known because of it.

Re: Fbobys Vs. Mustangs

It depends a lot on personal things.

An L98 car and a 5.0 fox are both comparable in modability, quality and pricing. Most choose one over the other based on taste.

I personally chose the fox body, because we owned a few and had experience with them. We really only drive and drag race them, and for me being 15 at the time, it was cheap, reliable and easy to make quick. I could have done the same with an Fbody, but liked the look of the fox better, and found one easier. If I had unlimited funds I might think about getting a thirdgen to have some fun with, but then again with unlimited funds, I might just skip crappy 80s cars and move right into an M5 or the like!

Re: Fbobys Vs. Mustangs

Just a matter of preference. We own both (fox body capri and 86 camaro). They both have things that are easier/harder to work on than the other. As mentioned above a 302 mods out better than a 305. Either way, at least either one doesn't look like bland generic crap like 90% of what's offered new today.

Holy crow! I can not believe this is so civil! usually it seems like when a post like this comes up everyone says "ford sux, my car will eat yours, blah blah". I don't mean on this forum, but everytime I would like to review something vs. something, all I get is BS.

Re: Fbobys Vs. Mustangs

I dont like the body style of the mustangs, Fbodys look more agressiv. It is kind of disapointing that the stangs 302 outperforms the 305, since thier are more 305 3rd gen f-bodys than 350 f-bodys, it makes the Fbodys look kind of bad.

Re: Fbobys Vs. Mustangs

The point of this thread is fbodys VS mustangs. So why play mr political? Mustangs are WAY to common for my tastes. How can someone think they are the slick beans in a car someone has 3 cars back while 5 more are passing on the other side of the road?

All im sayin is theirs no reason to talk alot of crap when you got a car thats slow. Just let everything go. Its not like your going to change anyones mind.

Re: Fbobys Vs. Mustangs

Wow what trailer park do you live in? Hell man iz gon gets me one dem fast mustangs then iz gonna be the big man round hur.

There is more to a car then just raw power. Looks, braking, individuality, features, sound, power. Do either of your mustangs have t-tops? What about a digital dash? NO they don't. If I just wanted to go fast I sure as hell wouldn't get a 69 or an 00. I would get an 89 fox body coupe and show you little kids whats up.

You can try all day but at the end you just have an inferior car.

Atleast to me.
