Yea it is true. A douche in this instance at least what I think is one would be a young adult ages 18-30 who drives a car that either has more power or think they drive a car that has more power than the average car. This individual usually thinks its faster that everyone else on the road while having never stepped foot on an official drag track or autox track. This individual also knows slim to none about how an engine works let alone how to work on one. Sorry douchbags working on a car does not mean bolting on a Cold air intake, Loud BOV, exhaust, wheels and HID headlights in every housing. These Individuals also have to use full synthetic oil not because its better for the vehicle but because they drive a high powered vehicle that requires it and it increases performance. These individuals also believe its ok to speed because the car is meant for it, its also ok to tailgate people and flash your high-beams at them because they are not going as fast as you can go. Of course its also ok to park diagonally across parking spots so people can not park next their super car.

This is just a Stereotypical generalization on people who drive the cars, not the cars themselves. On another note I passed by the local community college today to drop off a blueprint to a previous employer and saw about 15 mustangs 4 of which were cobras. 3 post 99' 1 pre 99'. The way Ive seen these cars driven puts them on my list as well as the kids who come into the shop with them. It doesn't make everyone who drives them a DB. I have driven and I like cobras.

I definetly agree with your statement on there are alot of mustangs but I personally love my 98 cobra, but i'm always gonna have a soft heart for for my thirdgen, but who wouldn't on this board.

see i am 23 years old and i have a import. it has cold air and exhaust, lowered and rims. its a 08 lancer. The thing is its not fast but gets 28mpg, my camaro couldnt touch that and my wife likes it. but i had to take a lot of sand for my friend so i was about 3 or 4 cars behind my wife. people kept getting on her bumper reving there engines and wanting her to race. she is a newer driver and made her scared. so i got them off of her with my truck with a 383 500hp on 35 inch tires. i got behind them untill they got off my wifes car. so i also say the import guys are number one. they think lowering springs cold air, a coffee can for exhaust and taking the hubcaps off makes it a race car. hondas, evos, srt4s, and mazdas. they think the hwy is there race track and they own it. I am in the army and i love a rush like the next guy. i also have a wife and son, the streets are not the place for it. so i go offroading on trails and also love tracks. every now and then there is that douchebag that thinks he is a super car that you have to show. i also have a 87 iroc with a tt lsx that i stripped before i came to afghanistain to build my 67. if you think your fast you better be pushing over 550hp otherwise stay in your lane. and no matter how fast you are your not faster the the radio. so keep it on a track or at least a roped off course

Well, Here in LI NY thee are alot of fast 5.0 Mustangs. I actually have one an 86 Notch with a 306 and 12 pds of Powerdyne boost. Makes for one hell of a LSX stomping rustang IMO. All cars can be made fast.
IMO DB cars around here are Subarus, Honda, Acuras, Scions and those Lancer things. Kids that think they actually make power and dont. And of course weaving in and out of traffic on a busy road makes them twice as cool. And triple cool if there baseball cap is facing north east.

I'm 17, and I openly admit that I drive fast. I don't tailgate, and don't park like a moron, I don't like HID headlights. I've gone to tracks and car shows, and I know how an engine works and how to rebuild one. So would I qualify as one of the afore mentioned young douche bags?

i'll admit i do that... but its because im sick of coming out and finding new dents in my car from people throwing their doors open... but of course i dont park in the front row either...

and now i'll admit i drive a talon... (a eclipse basically)... saved it from a r*cer... so it does have the big can... but.. my intentions for it are good lol.. and im not like all the other 18 year olds... i dont rev at stop lights... i dont race everyone i see.. that 36mpg is to precious(talon with 420a).. i know there is a speed limit and follow it... every now and then when im going to work at 330 am i'll open er up... but im the only driver out at that time..

Well my answer to that statement anyone who spends the time and takes care of their body and paint should worry about getting dents and dings even if it is a talon.

Please dont not park diagonally across spots. Its an eyesore and promotes vandalism. Especially to people who don't like your car. Parking spots are created for a reason in every lot. Abide by the rules or don't park in a public parking lot. If you care that much about the paint don't daily that car or stay out of parking lots or near other cars.

I will agree with the fact that there are "some" cops that are jerks. There is always someone thats an jerk though. Correct? It has nothing to do with being a cop. Making a generalization like that is just incorrect. Cops have a specific job to do and If you are breaking the law while a cop is around 9 times out of 10 you will be penalized. If you have a specific grudge against one officer or a few that is fine but to make a generalization like that only means that you are not doing what you are supposed to on the road. Everyone drives wrecklessly on the street sometime or another its those who do it constantly that pay the price. For those people that have only driven wrecklessly on one or two occasions and have gotten caught, well that just sucks.

I'm sorry to say this but if you are dressed poorly and behave in an impolite manner, your car is in terrible condition, its loud, Has tinted windows, Is in any way of an annoyance to an officer you will get what is coming to you. Let it be known that a cop would have no mercy on you.

id have to agree with the cops are DB's comment... but of course... in my area... if you are male, and drive.. .you will bbe followed, parked behind, waited on in parking lots, and at the end of your driveway, and then if there is even ONE thing wrong... no matter how stupid it is.. (hell it might not even be illegal) you will get a ticket for that... i got a ticket for my rear spoiler (stock) obstructing my view??? sure i get them taken off... but eventually they actually find something they can get you for... me and some friends are going to go to the chief of police here soon... and if that doesnt work.. we're all moving...

so yes, i do believe that every cop in my area is a DB... and im sorry if there are any cops on this board, but this is true for MY area...

i do obey the laws. and i am polite, and respectful (yes sir, no sir, i understand sir, thank you officer), i never argue with them over anything they give me, and its more like 18-30 here... i didnt even say anything about the spoiler obstructing my view.. i just went to court and got it dropped...

heres how it goes...

i go into the local grocery store.. by the time i've parked, went inside and got a pack of coke, and the stuff to make dinner for me and the girl, a group of 5 cops have came, looked around the parking lot, picked 5 cars, checked them out (i've watched them do it) get back in their cars, and wait for those 5 drivers to get in their car, then while going down the road they follow you all the way home... and if you pull over to let them go by, i assume they radio another because as soon as you pull back onto the road, there is another behind you... and that one follows you home... then if they didnt get you for anything that night, they are there to follow you to work in the morning...

now does that sound right?? no it doesnt.. that has nothing to do with my attitude, or anything im doing. thats why we are going to the chief of police, or where ever we have to to get this to stop...

that is what i call harassment.. not you were doing 75/65, or your windows are tinted, i understand that stuff there are laws, and though i dont like them they are there...
