91 RS and 97 RS vs. 85 Z

Car: Z28
Engine: Edelbrockified 305
Transmission: 700-R4
91 RS and 97 RS vs. 85 Z
OK, I need to know because even though I usually don't go out and try to beat everyone I can, both of these gentlemen need to be shut up.
The 91 RS has well over 120k miles on it and is a little beat. 305 TBI auto w/ exhaust cut off after cat. He has all options (I believe) and a system.
The 97 RS is obviously a V6, with stick and a system. That's all I know about it.
My car is an 85 Z28 w/ LG4, 54,000 miles and is in great shape/running order, has no options except a/c, auto and has never been beat on (I know the previous owner). I know the LG4 is slow, so what could I do on my rather meager budget to make sure I beat them both? Maybe a couple ways to rig it up just for those races.

drp in a 350......j/k do an exhaust cut off like that guy.....buy a lt1 cam.....port and polish heads....port and polish intake.....under drive pullies...chip...headers... like in my other post on this board Chevy high performance brought a 87 Z28 and it ran 17.45 with the lg4 and 2.77's the 91 rs probably runs 16's right now with the mods you listed....not sure on the 97 rs times....think they would be same as 91 rs...have fun man...
