90 Iroc...specs etc

Ive got a line on what appears to be a fairly clean '90 Iroc.

I know i can pull some information from the VIN/RPO codes...but figured some of our "ontario guys" probably know what some of the more desirable things on this specific year are (Ie different axles avail etc, options etc)

Its a 1990 Iroc, 350, Auto, hardtop, cloth and fairly low kms. Anyone have any suggestions on what to check on the 90's (other than the usual floors etc etc).

you are going to want to bring an OHM meter and check the resistance of the fuel injectors cold and hot readings will be needed. There are specs on this site as to what ohm readings they should be. If they are indeed the original GARBAGE GM Multec injectors you'll be replacing them soon if they haven't been replaced already. Check for intake gasket leaks, usually on the front passenger side of the block. As you may or may not know '90 is the first year for SD so there is no MAF to worry about.Thats all that comes to mind right now thats above the regular 82-89 F body stuff.

Cool...thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking moreso about different axles, different brake options, suspension options....and what the more desirable options were on these cars...any ideas?

I think G92 was mandatory with the L98 by 1990. That means it should have the 4 wheel disc, oil cooler, 3.23 rear, and whatever else came with it. It sould also have the top level suspension.

Good luck I'd like to own a '90 IROC some day.
