Ignition Coil Testing

How can I go about testing my ignition coil. My car generally runs kinda sluggish when hot and is hard to start (excessive crank time and blows smoke). What else would cause this? I've heard of the ignition module causing this as well. Mine came with the distributor and isn't that old. Is there a testing procedure for this as well? Something must be getting heatsoaked or something...

I've checked my fuel pressure and it is 44psi when I shut it down. The pressure bleeds off to 12 or so after 25 minutes or so, so I don't think it's and injector leak problem.

Try this. Have the car running and then shut it off. take the intake bellows off the throttle body and listen for a slight hissing noise. That's your injectors leaking.

Thanks, I'll give that a try tonight. I guess I should open the throttle blades and listen for a hiss within the plenum?
Would a faulty fuel pressure regulartor cause this (mine is stock)

I can't think of anything that would make noise like that inside the plenum other than inj's. Yes yry it with the blades open. BTW nice car, I had that similar setup on my '90 & it was alot better than the auto/2:73 I have now.
