TPI and MPFI?

I got a buddy who has an 89 camaro with a 305 TPI and he is telling me that by switching to the Holley Stealth RAM intake it becomes a Multi Port Fuel Injected engine...can someone please enlighten me on what exactly makes a car TPI and MPFI? Just for clarification.

Short answer - An injector at each port quantifies it as multi-port fuel-injection. Both the TPI and the StealthRam are MPFI. TPI is short for GM's "tuned port induction" system.

Also TPI is batch fire MPFI, not sequential fire MPFI. Batch fire triggers injectors to fire in batches, while sequential fires one injector at a time. This goes in relation to the type of computer (ECM) being used, not the intake.
