New best ET with 355 Superram
I figured out a false knock problem with my car and burned a new chip that limited the max knock retard that could be pulled out at WOT and the car responded very well. With the new chip my car no longer bogged in first gear and instead took off well and gave me my best ever run. The new run was 1.747 60 ft, 7.775 @ 88.89 in the 1/8, and 12.17 @ 111.87 in the 1/4. I believe the car will run low 12's or high 11's once I figure out how to launch it without smoking the clutch. With the new low end torque my old launch technique does not work and I did not perfect the new launch procedure yet.
Overall I was vey pleased with the new ET's.

That's great to hear. Your older posts about the Superram vs. Large Tube Runners are very informative and inspirational. I plan to run the Superram in the future when I build a new engine for the GTA.
Even with your old lauch technique not working, is the car now quicker in the 60ft.?

The car had run a best of 1.73? with the old technique but it was not constant at all and most of the time it ran low 1.8's but it always had a big bog, and then it took off. I always assumed the bog was the light weight flywheel (15 LBS) was just not able to get the car moving. After doing some scans in first gear I noticed that it pulled 17 degrees of knock retard at the launch but then quickly went to zero and pulled no knock in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. I then limited my knock retard to 6 degrees and that is when the car picked up the low end power. Now If I launch at my previous 5000 RPM dump of the clutch it will smoke the clutch. So I need to lower the launch RPM and get the clutch locked up earlier, I have not perfected this technique yet.
whats the weight with u in it?
