The MiniRam is made by "Tuned Port Induction Specialities". Externally this manifold appears very similiar to an LT-1 manifold. It is a one-piece manifold that uses very short runners to allow high rpm breathing(peak hp at 6500 rpm is said to be possible with the right choice of supporting components). The price for the manifold itself is around $800, however you will need to purchase additional components to get it to operate properly: fuel rail kit(the stock one won't work), larger throttle-body, upgraded cam and valvetrain, upgraded cylinder heads, upgraded exhaust, etc.,... Realistically to do it right, the final cost of installation will be $3000+. However, there is no better system currently for making max hp on a electronically port-injected small block chevy.

The Super Ram is made by "Accel" and falls between the stock TPI and a MiniRam in terms of runner-length and flow potential. Like a conventional TPI it uses a threepiece manifold(plenum, runners and base), however medium length runners and a specially designed plenum allow it to achieve higher rpm breathing(as compared to a stock TPI) without overly sacrificing low and midrange torque. It is more costly for the manifold($1200) than the miniram and will require upgrades to all the systems mentioned for the MiniRam to allow it to operate properly(the Super Ram uses the stock fuel rails so you save a little there).

The difference in power, as always, comes down to the other parts you add to compliment the particular setup. Both systems can exceed 450 hp and 5500 rpm peaks.

In the end, it comes down to what Roger Penske says: "Speed costs,... how fast can you afford to go?"

So if I had two identical L98 engines with a bigger TB, ported heads, better cam, aftermarket exhaust, etc., would the super ram or the mini ram have more hp at 6000rpm? How would the torque curves compare? Is either setup more durable or will less likely have problems than the other?
