Do I need another distributor?

I originally bought an '85 TPI setup for my '68 Chevelle swap. After learning all the wonderful things about '85 (like a $1000 burnoff module) and finding a deal on an '86 TPI camaro harness, I've decided to go with the newer setup. I have been told everything SHOULD plug in and be compatible with my manifold and sensors, but the distributor plug from the '86 harness doesn't plug into the '85 distributor. Is there something I can order from GM or scavenge from a junkyard to make this work or do I need an '86 distributor? Thanks for the help.

85 and 86 are the same connector... Maybe you have an 87 harness?

In any case, with a wiring diagram and the right connector, you can hook up either one.

OK. Got it. There were some connectors on the '86 harness that I have not seen before and they looked kinda like the distributor connector. Thanks alot!
