Re: what would you pay for???

I don't think there are any major differences in the plenum/runners/lower, but 85-88 had the cold start injector (hole in the driver side runners for it, can be capped off if needed). 90-92 TPI is a speed density setup, the ECM and wiring is slightly different. Oh and 85-86 TPI lower intake has the old style intake bolt pattern, 87+ the middle intake bolts are at different angles.

Re: what would you pay for???

the middle holes on the edelbrock intakes are elongated to compensate for either of the 2 hole angles... so that shouldn't matter. at least on the one i just bought and installed

New the 52 mm sells at 300+ and for the intake/runners 700+. What shape are they in, how many miles on them?

Re: what would you pay for???

sorry i do not know the prices on tpi stuff like i said its a starting point for negotiation. and wow i wouldnt pay that much for tpi setup,,,, for that price i could buy a air gap performer rpm intake and a new demon carb have an esier to tune car, larger powerband, and just as much power, and b4 yall go throwing in the "gas milage" card...1 its a performance v8 so screw that, and 2. a demon carb is a really good adjustable carb that u can tune to get about the same milage so yeah my

Re: what would you pay for???

some people rather have tpi rather then carb. specially if u live in CA. personally im going hsr, but am keeping my old tpi setup which i plan to port myself in case i ever need to sell the cars and needs to be smog legal. i beleive 450 to 500 is a fair and reasonable price to pay especially if its a whole package will save some trouble and time.

Re: what would you pay for???

I used to negotiate for a living

if he wants you to say the first number then go really low like 100

this might **** him off so be it. he will come way high

this is when you ask him politely after appoligizing for the low number "what is the price that will be fair for the both of us"

if he insists that you come up with a number again tell him "am I selling it to you or are you selling it to me" then ad a " I dont want to insult you again so what is the lowest price you will sell it for"

bing bing you got a good deal

Re: what would you pay for???

Carb cleaner, then soap water, a brush, and elbow grease. Some show car people put a clear coat over the shiny aluminum. Motorcycle parts are made this way.

Re: what would you pay for???

I bought my setup from a board member here. I paid 600 for a polished Bigmouth intake / TPiS Runner and 52 MM Throttle body. I would say used no more than about 550-650. The deals are out there so be patient if you can.
