Sticking throttle body. What are my options?

The throttle body is sticking on my 1988 Firebird. Is it possible to rebuild them? Has anyone had the same issue with a new aftermarket t/b? I hate pulling up to a stop sign and the engine staying over 2k rpms. Lol,

It's not your throttle body, it's your IAC valve. Remove the throttle body, and remove the IAC valve from its' housing. Spray some carb cleaner in key areas of the throttle body, and clean off all of the built up gunk from over the years. Once it's clean, wipe it down, clean it up, then spray the throttle tension spring with some WD-40. Should open then "snap" closed properly. Install a new IAC valve, then set it following the procedures. Should be good to go.

Clean out the throttle body and IAC, most likely won't have any issues afterwards. Brake clean/carb cleaner will work fine.

I've cleaned it. The butterflies are hanging open. I pulled the throttle body off of my Iroc and put on with the firebird IAC and it's fine. I can push the throttle closed but it won't return without some help

There is an ebay seller than rebuilds/machines them. Dr.Injector I think. I've not done it personally but I've read others on there have had good luck with them.
