Shelf life of parts? TPI fuel pump sitting in closet for over 2 years still ok?
Hey all so over two years ago (june/2014) i bought a TPI fuel pump and socket to swap into my 88 5.7 tbi. I never got around to it and its just been sitting in its box in my closet since then.
Are the Fuel Pump and Socket still ok to install? Do Fuel pumps have a definitive shelf life?
Thanks all for your time and advice!

I am by no means an expert but unless there are gaskets in there that would dry out, and I do not honestly think there would be any issue with that, then I'd say use it. Now if it was used in modern gas then taken out and sat for a year or two or even sat in the gas then I would say junk it because of the insanely powerful ways that modern gas tries to destroy all that is near and dear to our hearts. Worst comes to worst it doesn't work and you get a new one, but why spend the money if the one you have still works good? Just my .02 USD. Good luck man!
