Quick question,
I know this isnt like the prom board but i think i would get better results here. I have an 87 T/A, 350 bunch of bolt ons. I switched to a t-5 from the 700r-4, would a 89 corvette chip work in my 87 T/A. I want the computer to know its running a 5 speed now, SLP has some performance chips on sale for like $70 bucks, if i swapped my hypertech automatic chip for the 5 speed corvette one would it work? What problems may i face? Everything is stepped up except the whole computer itself. Thank You

You might want to think about burning your own e-proms. From what I gather on these message boards, it is the only way to go for precise tuning of your pride and joy. I haven't gotten into this yet, but i'm definetely heading this route. Check out the DITY- prom section for more info. Form what everyone with knoweledge in this arena says, the pre-burnt e-porms are a complete waste of money.

I hear what your sayin about burnin proms. I'm actually gonna buy the stuff, buy the prom is on sale for $70 bucks, which isnt bad, i dont wanna continue runnin my car with an automatic chip. So untill i can save up for the stuff to burn my proms this is the cheapest way to go. And if i had a choice of a Hypertech chip for a T/A or SLP chip for a vette, i would rather run the vette chip for now. Plus my idle and timing are hurtin due to the auto chip.
