Depends on how performance oriented you want it. I had a guy quote me $500 for a "stock" rebuild, and $800+ for a "performance" rebuild.

Depends on how beefy you want it, I'm going threw a rebuild this week as well, it gets expensive the more performance stuff you get on there. (as does everything in cars).

from what I hear, the prices that he quoted me are a bit lower than the normal price. Thats what I have been told anyway.

I got a price from 3 different shops, All Saying roughly $800, with a basic Shift Kit installed, Turn-key One Year Warranty. Very reasonable I feel, considering how much of a pain in the A@@ it is to jack My 91 Z up. No need to get fluid up the armpit at a price like that

Transmission: Rebuilt 700r w/ Transgo Shift Kit
The first time I had mine rebuilt, it cost me around $540, and that lasted for 4 years until I dropped in my 355 cc 350 hp, and then it took 4 months before I busted the 2-4 band. Just a couple of weeks ago, I had it rebuilt again, but this time, Transgo Shift Kit, Corvette Servo, and a more beefed up tranny. I paid $825 for this one.
