I got a 383ci. motor all built and next is the Trans and Rear. Well I figured out the trans part, I'm going with a G-force T-5. I got a 10 bolt with 3.08 posi. I'v heard a lot of different opinions about building a rear. I'm going to be launching my car with slicks and I don't care what anyone says but the stock rear is not going to take that. Some people say they built some insane motor that they launched with slicks on the stock 10 bolt and never blew up. But I'v seen someone take a stock Fourthgen Z28 that had a gurdle and slicks and blew up the rear on the first attempt at the drag strip. My idea so far was a complete Moser 12 bolt with 30 spline axels which is about $2000. What do you think, will this hold up and/or you think there is a cheaper set up that will take this kind of abuse.

Ford 9 inch

I am going to put a ford 9 inch under my T/A next year. They are around $2200.00 from curry enterprizes. I think that the 9 inch is less efficiant but stronger.

However, are you going to get the gears and all for $2000.00?

Go to moser's website its Moserengineering or something and go to 12 bolt housing. The complete setup for our cars is 19something and 2000 with a high performance diff cover. Thats everything internally, you know, gears, axels, posi.

The axles I have in my 10bolt came from Moser, I didn't realize they made a 12 bolt for the F-Body. I will deffinately check it out.
