9" limited slip diff question.

ok, i have this limited slip (aka here as a posi) that im buying from a friend.
i THOUGHT i was getting a locker.... but it turns out he didnt know the diff between a locker and a clutch type limited slip, he just thought all limited slips for 9" rears were called lockers.

im not a 9" expert by anymeans.. ive done alot of research on lockers over the last few weeks since thats what i thought i was getting. but i dont know where to start on "posi"s

this is what i have.. how strong is it? my entire rear is "bulletproof", fully aftermarket everything for strength, except this posi..... right now, this is going into a cammed daily driver that sees strip duty... but the car will eventually be boosted into the 600RWHP range, and launched hard at full weight...
basically i want to know if i should buy it and use it for awhile, or back out of the deal.. its a friend and i really dont want to back out of a deal with him, but......

i would run a spool in it if u want it bullet proof i caught all kind of hell when i put one in mine i had a moser 9" also, and it was a daily driver for a long time. i guess it depends on what u can deal with. as long as u use some sense when driving its not that bad. i had the spool, ET streets and no windsheild wipers and would drive it no matter what the weather was. but its up to u if u do go with a spool just rem. easy on the turns

That's a Trac-Loc. They are not as strong as a DL, but you can rebuild them with a $60 kit.
