700 R4 Won't Shift!
I just put the engine and transmission back in my 88 Z, and began hooking up all the odds and ends that comes with that task. After bolting everything up and hooking up all the wires and whatnot, I took the car for a test drive. On the test drive, the car didn't want to shift into second until 2700 rpm, and when it did, did it ever, crashing all the way in.
So, I got back underneath of it, and realized that one (i assume theres two)wire leading to the transmission was not connected. Usually I would just reconnect it, but theres the problem. Where the hell do i plug it in? I know one wire was reconnected, the one with four 'connectors' in it. The second wire has two 'connectors' in it. Where does it go?
Thanks guys.

I am not sure there.. electronic speedo? if probably plugs into a VSS in the driver's side tail housing... the 4 pin is for the Torque converter lockup....
The problem you are probably having is that you did not re-adjust your TV cable... did you adjust the cable that is on your carb / throttlebody? If not that is your problem... whenever you disconnect the TV cable you HAVE to adjust it properly. else the thing will not shift right at all and you will burn the trans up pretty quick.
