T-5 Flywheel Part #'s Different for TBI/TPI 305?
I have been looking and the TBI and TPI 305 flywheel part numbers are different...and the prices are different too.
This is true for the AcDelco numbers, the Advance Auto site and on Rock Auto.
Is there any difference in the actual parts?
BTW...I looked up for a 91 Camaro with TBI 305 and TPI 305....
Thanks!

Yes they are different.
The high-perf motors (L69, LB9) used a 16 lb one; the grocery-cart motors (LG4 & L03) got a 22 lb one.
They fit and work the same, but the heavier one helps launch a heavy car with a highway gear and a gutless motor without killing the engine when the stick newbie tries to drive it. The lighter one makes the engine "feel" more responsive, and was used in cars with better gears, stronger-running motors, and (supposedly) more capable drivers.

That would explain it then.
Since I have a stockish TBI 350 longblock topped with a stock TPI...5 speed and 3.73 gears...I will order the TPI 305 flywheel then.
Thanks Sofakingdom!
