brakes are spongy from rear end swap

i switched from a 85 camaro 10 bolt rear with drum brakes to a 87 firebird 9 bolt rear with disc brakes. i converted everything over and the brakes are the only thing that are not working correctly. if i could get any information on the the ebrake and the hydraulic brake lines like the master cylinder and the prop valve.

i used the same master cylinder and prop valve even though i know your suppose to convert it from the donor car. some people said the master cylinder and prop valve doesn't need to get changed is this the problem with the spongy brakes?

the e brake cables i got to new ones from the donor cars year. just the left and right side ones. when installed the brake light stays on and it doesn't work the best. is there something i'm missing with the e brake.

i did search the other posts a lot i just want some short answers that would help with my exact application. 85 10bolt drum to 87 9bolt disc

The master should be fine:

I'd swap the prop valve. You might check your shop manual for the procedure for e-brake adjustment.

Spongy? I assume you bled the system.

Re: brakes are spongy from rear end swap

yes i did bleed the brakes twice. no air bubbles and i checked the fluid level as i was bleeding the brakes. why would the prop valve be the problem with the spongyness of the brakes i thought the prop valve was just to distribute the right amount of power to the rear and front?
----------
i was thinking that maybe there was a larger cylinder in one of the master cylinders for disc brake systems. and maybe it would push more fluid through the system faster and maybe that was the problem!!

You still have air in the lines or one of the back hoses are bad. How did you bleed them? I did a 4th gen swap in my 83 and havent changed anything. It did take a can and a half of brake fluid to get all the air out though.
