Car: 87 camaro
Engine: 305
Transmission: 700r4 shift kit
which camaro had the borg warner 9 bolt
i am in an argument with my uncl i say the l98 iroc 350 had the borg warner and in california the rearend was an option for the rs but he say s im wrong. what do you know

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86

Different cars from 86-89 got the 9 bolt. Only the L98 cars with the 700R4 got 3.27 gears. Other cars with the 9 bolt got 2.77 or 3.45 depending on the engine and transmission.

My two L98 cars (88 and 89) both came with 2.77 9 bolts.

My 88 Formula W/ L98 came with 3.27... Option G92 for L98's. G92 on an LB9 M5 got the 3.45's.
