Car: 91 Camaro RS Convertible
Engine: 385ci LT1 cnc ported heads big cam
Transmission: 4L60E automatic
Axle/Gears: 3.42 Zexel posi 7.5" rear
5spd question
A few days ago I posted whether a big block would bolt to my transmission. Now I want to ask is the 5spd in my 92 GMC C1500 factory 5.7L 5spd the same as in Camaro's or is it a heavier duty trans. I would think with the 7500lb tow rating and 5.7L engine it would have a stronger tranny but I thought I would better ask before trying to bolt a big block to it. Anybody have some good pics of their camaro 5 spd so I can see if they look remotely the same too.
