Need a little help

My trany isnt shifting right so I started to look into the causes.
The trany is from my 1984 TA which was carbruated.
my car is now fuel injected

I had a trany shop install new 30 spline shaft and higher output pump.

My pressure is 85 at idle with the TV unhooked.

When throttle is wide open the TV is fully pulled with no more slack.

Problem is when I tug on the TV cable it doesnt cause a pressure increase until it is about 1/2 inch pulled.

It is my understanding that I should get an increase of pressure immediately upon pulling TV cable.

If I were to set the TV cable so that when the throttle starts to open and the pressure just starts to rise the cable would be at the end of its travel before I even get to 3/4 throttle.

Anybody experience anything similar?

Are there different TV valves and springs used with fuel injection applications than would be used in a caburated application?

I am using a lokar cable

its a spring to help increase line pressure after changing gears and such, kind of a band-aid, but i have used it in the past it it worked quite well for the time i had it.

its inexpensive and worth a try
