Transmission or clutch overheating?

Transmission or clutch overheating?
I haven't had really any problems with my 82 MSE but so far I've only driven it short trips. However, as soon as I was stuck in traffic, the transmission became very hard to shift into any gear. There was one point it would not go into any gear at all when I was stuck in traffic for an hour moving at 5mph and I had to pull off the road.
The trans seems to be really difficult to shift once its hot after driving on the highway for any period of time now. The car only has 27,000 miles on it so I'm hoping to God this isn't going to be a major ordeal. I haven't had any problems driving the car around for 20 minutes or so at a time. If the car is cold, the clutch operates smoothly without any issues. It does rev high though at highway speeds due to the fact its a borg-warner super t-10 4 speed. The pedal isn't difficult to press down and it feels normal. Could I simply just have the system bled and flushed to relieve this issue? It probably has the original trans and clutch fluid in it from 1982.
I just had the car inspected two weeks ago and maybe drove it twice before this weekend on short trips so this hasn't been a long term issue. Also, this isn't my first manual trans car, my truck is a manual and I haven't owned an automatic transmission equipped car since 2007, plus had a manual trans eagle talon before then. Thanks for your help and your time.

Re: Transmission or clutch overheating?
Also, the clutch is not hydraulic, it has never been adjusted from the factory settings, it does not slip, and all componets of the transmission are original. Thanks
