TH400 kids

Do hurst or B&M still make the conversion kits? I havn't been able to find them through google. Also the spohn kits are nice, but I would like to use my factory torque arm for the conversion. Any other decently priced alternatives?

Re: TH400 kids

I looked at summitracing and they have the Hurst which says it's for TH400.

But, getting the torque arm off the tailhousing makes a lot of sense...

{sticks pistol down shorts, pulls trigger}

BLAM!!!!

Dammit, all I got was the little round one on the left

{moves pistol, pulls trigger again}

BLAM!!!!!

Dammit, still missed it, all I got was the other little round one on the right

{pulls pistol out of shorts, re-inserts it into shorts, takes careful aim, pulls trigger twice}

BLAM!!!! BLAM!!!!!

There, I finally hit that big long fat one in the middle. It'll never cause me any trouble again.

OK....

So why would anybody with 2 neurons they could rub together and get to fire at the same time, want to preserve THAT????

Get a real torque arm and do it right. Assuming of course that a 400 is the "right" choice to begin with. You have a big block with at least 600 HP and 650 ft-lbs of torque, right?

Re: TH400 kids

Lookin at a 500 hp 350. Picked the th400 more for durability. I know 350's transfer more power, and can be made almost as strong etc, but I dont think a 400 was a wrong choice. The cross members I was looking at stated they would take a factory or aftermarket torque arm. This was seemed to be an important feature to me so that I could use my factory for a while until I get deeper in the build. I still have some other parts to fund to get it moving under its own power, and want to get it there before I start going for the REAL nice goodies.

Anyways, I can say you at least shoot it straight sofaking :P You really helped me out on one of my other threads and told me how you felt on this one haha.
