2 quick questions

Does anybody know the thread size and length of the little bolt that holds the detent cable down in a T350/700 R4? I need one and don't know the size.

Also how do you remove the shifter **** from a shifter on an 83 Firebird. I don't know if it is the original but doesn't seem to be a clip that holds it on to the shifter itself.

When you pull the button off there is a snap ring inside the top of the ****, it may be hard to see, but it's the only thing holding it on there.

What jmd said, on the 700.

Not the same as a 350, which would have been SAE; ¼"-20 x about 1" if memory serves.
