alright boys i bought a disk brake rear end just ordered the new lines and when looking at a T block you know the one one thats rubber and connects both lines on the axle to the body well this one said it would only fit drum brake models? see i figured this meant the line fittings were different but i cant find a disk brake t block anywere would this mean i cant use my stock one because i am switching to disk brakes from drum? i really need some clarification hear cause if this is so idk what to do

Disc brake and drum brakes use different brake lines. When I was looking for new lines to fit on my 9bolt with discs I noticed that drum brake set come with three pieces and disc set come with 5. The 2 short rubber hoses at the calipers add the extra 2 pieces. As far as the T block I think the connection from the steel line on the car to the rubber T line is the same for either
​​​​​​​just make sure you are ordering disc brake lines for the diff that you have and that it is a 5 piece set and you should be good to go

Right: the center rear brake line, with the "T" at the end, is the same for drums or discs AFAIK.

The 82-88 brakes use 4 rubber lines; one side, I forget which, the steel line goes directly to the caliper. (why? seems stoooopid? Iunno) Just one more thing that makes that crappy Saginaw (cast-iron caliper) system a total steaming bucket of spit I guess. If you're stuck with that, I pity you. I wouldn't put that on my car if I could help it, I would prefer drums over that garbage.

89-up PBR (aluminum caliper) system uses the 5-pc set. That's the type you want. If you have that other, throw it in the trash and get the PBRs.

You can also just replace the steel lines on the axle if you want, and put whatever fittings you need on the ends. Then you don't have to worry about drum vs disc and trying to figure out what parts to buy.
