3.08 THIN gears on 3 series carrier
Hi, guys!
I'm going to try 3.08 gears instead of 3.42 with v6 T5 gearbox behind my mild 350.
Was looking for 2 series carrier, but suddenly found a thin 3.08 Motive Gear, which can be mounted on 3 series carrier -

Have anybody heard anything good about such innovation, or should I stay away from this?

Motive's tech replied, that thin gear is good for up to 700 hp, in my case carrier itself would be weaker part.
Think, I'm going to try this set.

That's an incredible claim, as the ring and pinion set are the weakest link in the 28-spline 7.5" axles, and all of them fail well below 700 horsepower except at the Bonneville salt flats.
