Well, I still have the 'Bird, but ...
I am now the proud owner of a 1990 Corvette Convertible! See Pics. This is what happened when I caught "Vette fever" from my dad. His car.
I picked it up this weekend from central New Jersey (~100 mi from where dad's came from) and drove it back to WI on Sat. 2200 miles in a weekend is a lot of driving. The 1100 mi return trip was great! This car can really move. And, of course, 'verts are cool
My dad is trying to get me to fix the Bird and sell it in favor of keeping the rusted out F*rd Ranger. That plan is gonna be one tough sell.
I'll still be around here until I can get my Bird running right again. In the mean time, I am one happy camper!

Thanks for the compliments, all!
As for the Ranger, I hate that thing. It's got the wonderful 2.3L I4. Next to this thing my 2.8L Bird moves like a Ferrari. The problem is that I need a winter vehicle for my remaing year at MTU and the Ford Eunuch works well for that. I drove the Bird up here for one year and that was a real treat. If any of you know about winters in Houghton, MI you'll understand what I mean.
Its a dilema! As the old saying goes: If you want to double the value of a Ford; Fill up the gas tank.
