3.1 smog and ac delete guys..
I had 2 questions.
- What belt did you use?
I used a 83.5 and I think its a little too loose. The tensioner and the water pump are so close I'm not sure I could fit a piece of paper in between the belt loops there.
- What did you do with your smog pump?
Mine seems to want to spin on its own, thats not gonna affect anything right? Could I just tie it off for now, like with a string on the pulley to the side?

V belt, FTW!, i believe that for the serp belt, you need a delete pulley to maintain proper clearance , or you might consider relocating some accesories, although im not sure on how feasible that is, maybe a smaller w/p pulley

I did not do the A/C delete, but smog delete was easy.
Yeah it was a little close, but not less that 1/2".
Remember that the tensioner can move quite a bit.
Best advise, take off old belt.
Get some wire.
Route it through the engine and when you get to the tensioner, run it about at the center bolt.
Tie it up, make sure it is still good to go, take to parts store and have it measured. That will at the very least give you a good starting point.
Yes old school, but very simple.
