Tried 2 use the search feature, but couldnt pinpoint... Are the 2.8 and 3.1 injectors on these cars the same??? And what other cars use the same injectors as the 3.1? Im trying to find some but want to broaden my search for better results. Thanx guys.

They're a little different, but the same size. You might try some ford F1ZE injectors (found on most 2.9 v6's) they give you a better idle & response. Find the 'Ditch your stock injectors!' thread.

Re: Quick questions about injectors...

I believe that the 2.8s had 15lb injectors and the 3.1s had 17lbs.

Thanx. - The parts stores round here want $150 each for 'em. *YIKES* I'm a lil iffy about going to a JY and pulllin some... I also found a site that sells remanufatured injectors but the price seems ridculously low, so again, I'm a lil iffy...

2.8's up to 1988/9 (forget when they changed from pintle cap to Bosch) has 15.4 lb/hr injectors, and later 2.8 and 3.1 had 14.7 lb/hr injectors, Bosch style. 3100 injectors won't work unless you have a 3.4 (same injectors) because they are 18.6 lb/hr and WAY too big.
Ford injectors are actually slightly smaller, BTW. They may have better electrical response, but the physical size makes them useless, unless you want to find some bigger ones.

Re: Quick questions about injectors...

According to what? Ford also rates them at a lower pressure than GM. They're actually closer to 16 lb/hr with gm pressure. Sevral people are using them in their cars.
