code 35 and 44 HELP im kinda in a hurry

code 35 and 44 HELP im kinda in a hurry

ok i have two days to figure this out and i have like NO money for any parts so i need to figure out whats wrong i just got it out of the garage because i lost pateints we changed

knock sensor
oil pressure sending unit
vac lines
plugs
wires
cap
rotor
pickup coil
pcv valve
air filter
gas was changed
battery
and alternator

it was running great for the ride to work and on the way home i encountered some pretty heavy traffic now its throwing a code 35 and 44 now it did throw 44 a while back so that is a preexisting problem but all of a sudden it has a major loss of power like i have to have it at half throttle to get anywere. could this be a clogged cat? i do believe its the original cat converter i think i will take it off today and gut it out. any suggestions on anything else that could be causing this? it is a 90 v6 3.1 camaro so it is feul injected and im not really sure what causes the code 35. HELP!!!!

Code 35 basically means a vacuum leak or something that is pulling excess air into the engine. As defined in the FSM, code 35 is "Uncontrolled Idle Speed". It's either a TPS going or gone bad, IAC stuck or gone bad, or a vacuum leak letting excess air into the engine.

Coupled with the code 44, I'd have to tell you to look for a vacuum leak. Code 44 is lean exhaust, meaning too much air in the cylinders. If you don't know the condition of your vacuum lines, touch one or 2 and see if your fingers end up covered in rubber. If they do, your lines are deteriorating and need to be replaced. It won't hurt to check them even though you've said you replaced them. Also look for bad connections at the PCV valve and the tube in the intake bellows, leaking valve covers, and possible hardened and cracked gaskets in the intake assembly.
