Advance auto cant seem to get a listing for the two Coolant lines going to the Throttle Body on a 1991 3.1 Camaro RS. anyone have a gates number or any Part name/numbers? Thanks a bunch! Nick Hall

i took an old one in to match them up that way, i used to have a number for one that was close ill see if i have it

however you dont actually need those hoses on your car unless you live in Alaska. you can just bypass them if you wish.

The reason you can't find a part # is because there isn't one, its not a specific part, just check what diameter, go in there and say you need 1 ft of " " heater hose, if its not labelled or worn out, you could just take the throttle body in, and have them slide diff sizes on till you find the one that fits, or maybe see if they have some scraps you can take out and try, or just give you for that matter, if they have something less than a foot they can't sell that, so you might get lucky there. But heater hose is universal, just know the size you need and tell them the length and diameter.
And as pilsbry said you can just bypass that if you wish, I always do just because its a major pita to undo those clamps constantly just to get at the TB. It does supposedly add some performance by not heating up the TB, but personally my main reason for doing it is to simplify and unclutter the engine bay, hell on my camaro I don't even have that pipe the nipples for that came off of, just have a one piece chrome nipple in the LIM with the hose coming right off that. Nice and clean cut, the way I like it, just remember if you bypass, you have to connect hose to the coolant pipe from one nipple to the other.

I just went and got a foot of heater hose and cut it down to size and got some new clamps on there. I had it bypassed for a little while and didn't notice a difference so when it finally sprung a leak I just hooked it back up to the TB with the new hose.

I'm parting out a 3.1 V6 and have the coolant hoses off the TB w/ clamps. Shoot me an offer via PM and I'll ship them out to ya.

I know I dont need those hoses.. I do live in Maine. But i dont drive in the winter..

Im just going to find a Fitting to replace the one thats on there and have no looping hoses. solve the problem for good
