Hey Guys!
I have a set of Firestone Potenzas on my 87 WS6 TA; and, I love them. But; for those of you looking for a more budget conscious performance tire, my friend Dave just picked up a set of 4 Kumho Ecsta ASTs (245/50/16) from tirerack.com. These have a UTQG rating of 400-A-A. Thats a 400 wear resistance; an A-rating for Traction and an A-rating for Temperature Resistance/Speed. He picked these up from TireRack for $62 each plus S&H. He also checked DiscountTireDirect.com and was looking at some Hankook Ventus tires with free shipping for $82 each. Shipping from Delaware to Syracuse via Tirerack.com was $12/tire by UPS ground.
So, moral of the story, for $296.00 Dave got 4 Kumho Ecsta ASTs shipped to his door. Your mileage will vary depending on how close to the warehouses you are.
