OER/Ronal center cap issue
Hey guys, I just bought a set of new OER Ronal R15s for my 91 Formula and am trying to bolt on the center cap but the bearing/dust cover sticks out to far. I read that these rims might need 1/4 in spacers up front due to the rim not clearing the tie rods but I have plenty of clearance there.
My question is will the 1/4 in spacers allow enough room to bolt on the center cap or do I need a bigger spacer? Thanks guys!

Re: OER/Ronal center cap issue
should be enough. you can try yourself, just to be sure to stack a 1/4in of washers on the studs and see if it will clear.

You might just need to dimple the top of the dust cap in..... I have had to due that in the past
I just tapped on mine with a hammer

Re: OER/Ronal center cap issue
Thanks guys. I didn't even think about using washers, good idea. I ordered a set from hawks because the tie rods are just barely touching the rim.
I put the rim on and a flat edge across the rim and measured to see how much more room I would need to get the center cap on and it looks like I need about a 1/2in. So with the 1/4in spacer and hammering the dust cover flat it should clear. Once I get them on I will let you guys know. Thanks!

Re: OER/Ronal center cap issue
Update, got the spacers on and have plenty of room between the rim and tie rods now. With spacers on I still had to dimple the bearing caps but now the center caps bolt on with no problems. Thanks again!
