Anyone have a Vortex muffler???
Anyone have a Vortex muffler???
Ok i ask for a Flowmaster muffler down at the local ******* 4x4 muffler & tire shop. After waiting for about 3 weeks they finally get it in and put it on. So i was inspecting it and i see the muffler is black and it says Vortex. It sounds ok and added power, but was it worth $110 installed??

I think mine is called vortec or vortech, but it might be vortex... I asked for the quietest muffler the local shop had, and this is what I got. my shop charged me a lot more than that, but $110 sounds like a good deal to me. BTW, where do you live? I know that the company that makes it is from arkansas...if you live close to there then we might have the same thing.

Trust me the vortech is definitely better than a flowmaster.. cos i had them both
the problem with the flowmaster is that its very noisy all around.. but vortech when u cruise is abetter muffler as it is quiter...
also vortech claims to have a better hp gain...for a bored out engine like mine the system worked just great ... with the cat removed it was like a blast... ..i actually dont get a deep throat due to a v6... but it actually revs higher than most v8s so i get like a more constant tone... i ,like it though... get a pair of good tips and ur all set ...
(it definitely increases power)

Get it !!! You will not be disappointed with the sound of this muffler ......... I am very satisfied, it even comes with a lifetime warrenty I had free tips added to them 4th gen tips
