Is Ed Wright slipping?

I've recently read quite a few posts about Ed Wright's chips not being as good as they used to be. Is this true? Are they still one of the best out there? Why all of the recent "complaints"?

I planned on using him for my custom chip, but now I'm becoming skeptical. If not Ed Wright, then who better to program a custom chip? And please don't tell me TPIS...I will not pay $500 for a chip!

The best chips are the ones you burn yourself. Read the DIY_PROM board and prepare to be educated.

Ed is still the best that you can get. He is burning you a custom chip without actually having your car to test and fine tune it. The only way to get a better one is to either take your car to someone who can test, tune, and burn you a chip. Or do it yourself.

I honestly can't say if Ed wright is slipping or not. But, my car is a new combination an is not tuned yet, but it makes all kinds of power with an Ed Wright chip. On of the guys that works for him comes to a Dyno near me occasionally. I am going to bring the car to the dyno and let him get the chip perfect. I had a TPIS stage 5 before, that was a waste of $575! It ran smooth, but made no power. A stock 5.7 chip was close in power output to TPIS' stage 5. They aren't worth the money.
