dyno software

i was given a dyno software by a friend that lets you find out how much hp and torque your motor has that you are building or alreayd have in. excellant thing to download!!! so you can figure out wut u need to do to your motor for more hp and torque or u wont be surprised with the numbers wen u actually test it out. it is very accurate from wut i heard and is supposed to be one of the better softwares out there for this type of thing

it is called Dyno 2000 . i recommend it

Its not at all accurate in my opinion. A rough estimate maybe...

I have this program too. I haven't had my car dynoed yet, but when I do, I will let you know how accurate it is. It really doesn't let you get that specific with intakes and stuff. Plus it is telling you flywheel horsepower instead of rear wheel power.

Transmission: 700 r4
dyno 2000

i also dont think it's that accurate as i'm running a supercharger and changing boost from 6-10 psi in the program does little but on my car it made a world of difference.
rough guess maybe
but not much more

Rear wheel horsepower will be different on every vehicle depending on transmission, torque converter diameter, flywheel weight, the number of accessories on the motor, etc, etc, etc. I can understand why they dont advertise rwhp.

Make sure that you have the blower set up right. If it is 200% overdriven, then the belt ratio (i think that is what they call it, program isnt in front of me at the moment) needs to be 2.0. Try that and see what happens .

Also, DTD2k3 is a lot better with intake manifolds as well as camshaft characteristics, but they could get a lot more specific on cylinder heads. For instance intake runner size is kind of important .
