any of you guys that have this hood, did you cut out the center ram air portion, or did you just paint it black? My friend had one and cut it out, but I get opinions going both ways.

 

im also wondering something about this hood and its functionality..as in...what works? :P

 

If i were you i wouldn't cut out the center piece, on the corvettes originally they werent cut out. Originally the hood was just supposed to draw in air off the windshield in a cowl induction setup. It was never a Ram air setup. Originally on the L88 corvettes, the air cleaner mounted into the hood, a special option for racing use to make engine work easier
