Accel or Holley???

I'm thinking of purchasing a aftermarket fuel injection setup for my carburated 92RS 388 engine. I've got it to run 12.6 but i think with a setup i can go faster! Which is the better Fuel injection Accel Pro-Ram or the Holley Projection?? Is anyone running one of these out there?? I've got access to a laptop so tuning it isn't a factor. Just wondering which one is better for my application? Thanks

I have been looking into that also but to replace my current TPI system. I have it narrowed down to two choices, the Edelbrock RPM PRO-FLO EFI and the Holley MPI PRO-JECTION II system. These are both multi port injection systems that come with their own computers and software. The Edelbrock system does not need a laptop to program it but it does require you to send Edelbrock you engine size and cam profile. The Holley system is completely programmable but you need a laptop computer to do it.

If you are talking about the throttle body units then you should stay with the carb. To be honest I am not sure you will see big gains in performance going from carb to a EFI system. You may see a little better mileage and street manors but I am not sure you will see much performance increase.

I'm with Chuck. You'll probably see slightly less PEAK HP/torque unless you or someone you know is a master of tuning EFIs and will take the time to help you or dyno test for you. Driveability is much better w/EFI, though.

I have used Edel 3500 ProFlo AND all of the Holley ProJections/MPI's. The 3500 is by far the superior unit. You only need to tell edelbrock your engine combo so that they get you a PROM that is close. Fine tuning (= fun) is done by you with their hand-held calibration unit. The tech-support is ok, too. They really want you to have fun!
